As a Controls Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the control systems that are critical to the operation of our manufacturing processes.
You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure that our control systems are functioning at optimal levels, and you will be responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices.
Troubleshoot issues with control systems and identify root causes.
Work with engineering team to develop and implement improvements to control systems.
Perform preventative maintenance on control systems to ensure optimal performance.
Provide technical support to production team as needed.
Document all work performed and maintain accurate records of control system performance.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in control system technology.
Qualifications:
2
years of experience in controls technician role.
Strong experience with PLC programming, including Allen Bradley.
Experience with HMI programming and troubleshooting.
Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
Associate's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred.
