Supervisor - OS&D Claims Prevention

Job Description
Old Dominion Freight Line is currently looking for a Supervisor - OS&D to join our OD Family Culture. OS&D Claims Supervisor is responsible for training clerks in their region to Audit, process OS&D files, overages, shortages, damages to prevent claims
Responsibilities
Work with service centers in their assigned area in claims prevention.
Train (by phone) OS&D clerks.
Audit the OS&D entry handling (final disposition) of overages, shortages, and damages.
Assist (and train) local OS&D (in their assigned area service centers) to clear overages properly to prevent claims.
Assist (and train) local OS&D to find lost freight and assure they have investigated properly.
Assist (and train) local OS&D to make the right decision on damages especially those valued over $500.00.
Handle complaints from customers and find lost freight.
Assist the Director of Claims Prevention with specific problems, such as excessive OS&D and claims by service center or by account.
Answer e-mail requests from service centers and work with claims on specific problems.
Give final disposition to service centers ON HAND and refused freight that has reached maturity.
Travel to the service centers if necessary to work on emergency situations.
Qualifications
Minimum High School Diploma required. Some college preferred.
Minimum 2 years OS&D experience
Good communication skills.
Typing skills (at least 50 wpm).
Microsoft Office Suite computer skills.
SAP experience
BI experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
