Field Engineer - Precast/Construction
Volt has a great opportunity for a Field Engineer for precast products specifically for engineering and construction.
This position is located in Lathrop, CA with our client in the manufacturing industry.
We are seeking a self-motivated, qualified and experienced Precast Field Engineer with extensive AutoCAD experience and installation of precast components to design, draw up, and create erection plans and schedules.
This role will occasionally be on project job sites as a precaster representative.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Help ensure a safe work environment both in the office and on the job site.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Make precise and accurate CAD drawings Implement the company high standard of drafting and design policies.
Accurately read, interpret, and communicate design, architectural, shop drawings and specifications.
Develop and submit Precast Concrete Erection Plans for review and approval.
Input and manipulate data in Excel and Word programs.
Oversee deliveries of precast product when on the jobsite.
Provide legible and accurate documentation when on the job site.
Track, inspect, and review workers erecting or making repairs to precast when on the jobsite.
Learn the ins and outs of precast products by frequently observing the production lines.
Continue to improve yourself through company sponsored webinars, seminars and classes.
Education/experience Civil Engineering College level courses - in engineering/construction; preferably some experience with precast prestressed concrete but not required, Experience in precast prestressed concrete manufacturing, is a plus.
Knowledge/Skills/Ability Read and understand drawings and specifications, Ability to prioritize assignments and manage workload for multiple projects concurrently, Learn and comply with company and OSHA safety regulations in the office, plant, and jobsite, Excellent computer skills including; MS Outlook, Excel, and AutoCad, Ability to effectively communicate with engineers, contractors, site workers and in-house personal.
