Assistant Operations Manager - 1st Shift

What you ll do on a typical day:

  • Establish work schedules, assign jobs, and train staff
  • Guide, counsel, and inspire employees; maximize potential and foster high standards
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with onsite customers and other key stakeholders
  • Provide a safe and secure work environment through training and safety inspections
  • Assist with evaluating employee performance, providing written and verbal feedback
  • Implement and carry out all company policies, procedures, and standards

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you ll need:

  • 5 years of experience in a warehousing or distribution environment, including 2 years in management
  • Experience in a leadership role with oversight of multiple associates and supervisors
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, warehouse management systems, and database systems
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

It d be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in AS9100 or ISO environment
  • Problem-solving techniques
  • Strong statistical analysis skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
